Program Overview

JESIE is responsible for the management of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) organized by JPDE, including Confucius Institute in Alsace (France), Confucius Institutes at New South Wales Department of Education and Queensland University of Technology both in Australia, Confucius Classrooms in Pretoria (South Africa) and in Andalusia (Spain). JESIE’s role includes the review and selection of Chinese teachers, reception of foreign principals visiting China, sister school programs, Confucius Classrooms construction and hosting Chinese Bridge principal and student groups sponsored by Hanban. JESIE also assists JPDE to select and manage Provincial Base Schools for international Education of Chinese language.

 

Program Participation

Following Hanban’s procedures and requirements, in accordance with guidance of JPDE, JESIE assists with the development of Jiangsu Overseas Confucius Institutes (classrooms).
