Study Tours
Program Overview
The study tour Program was developed by JPDE and facilitated by JESIE. JESIE has designed study-oriented itineraries for students, including language learning, touring and cultural exchanges abroad. JESIE has tailored the study tour curriculum to meet different schools’ needs for international exchanges, by including study tour program as an important part of inter-school exchange and using school-based curriculum. Since 1997, JESIE has successfully organized study tours to destinations in 17 different countries and districts throughout North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, serving over 50,000 teachers and students from over 200 primary and middle schools.
Program Participation
Each year, JESIE releases pre-made sample curriculum during summer vocation to schools and the public and proposals for sister school exchange visits. JESIE can also customize study tour itinerary according to schools’ specific needs. JESIE works together with local schools to host presentations to introduce the program and orientations to help students with pre-departure preparations.
