This is a Jiangsu Provincial Government and universities jointly funded scholarship program, which is hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and organized by JESIE. Over the past four summer vacations, the program has witnessed thousands of undergraduates participating in overseas immersion programs. The students in groups spend 4 weeks on any non-credit courses during the months of July and August at overseas universities, live in dorms or local homestays, and will be issued certificates and transcripts after the successful completion of this program.

JESIE is an abbreviation of Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange, which is an institutional unit of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education (JPDE). JESIE was originally a functioning unit under the supervision of the JPDE’s Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges (DICE) and changed its name to JESIE in 1997. Through 25 years of unremitting effort, JESIE has developed into the largest professional comprehensive organization engaged in education services for international exchange in China.
