Greetings! My name is Theard Stimie, and I come from one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town, in South Africa. I am 31 years old and I am currently working at Wuxi Houzhai Middle School, teaching English to grade 7 students.

I have been married for 7 years now and my wife, Liezel, is also a teacher here in Wuxi. We have 2 beautiful daughters who have also joined us here. Kaela is 2 years old and in Kindergarten and Olivia is 6 months old.

While I have not been a teacher for very long it has always been a great passion of mine to develop and form young minds to be the best they can be. Teaching has always been a great part of my family with no less than 8 of us being in the teaching profession.

I graduated from the University of South Africa earning my Bachelors of Commerce degree in Logistics. I also completed a TEFL course in order to better equip me for this new journey we have embarked on.

It was a great desire for adventure and to experience new cultures that convinced me and my wife to make the move to China and when the opportunity with JESIE came up I could not resist and I am very excited about the opportunity!

The work that JESIE do in order to expose so many students to foreign teachers and to give them the opportunity to learn English from a native speaker is really admirable. The staff of JESIE has been amazingly helpful and accommodating, helping me settle in to life here in China and it is an amazing honor to work for a company like this.

As mentioned before I am extremely excited about working with JESIE and my time here in China and hopefully I will also make a difference in the lives of my students at my new school.
