Nanjing Youfuxijie Primary School (NYFXJ) is one of the first Experimental Primary Schools to be approved by the Education Committee of Jiangsu Province in 1980. Over the years, NYFXJ has always focused on overall student development and has lived up to its guiding principles of:

In 1911, Zhongyang National Youfu Xijie Primary School (the predecessor of NYFXJ), was established. Today NYFXJ is home to 43 classrooms and 2017 students. NYFXJ has cultivated an elite team of key teachers and is involved in various foreign teacher exchange programs. Its staff and teaching faculty include 119 people (two of whom are special high-rank teachers), four academic leaders and more than 50 of the Nanjing Urban District's key teachers. The school proudly reflects on a glorious history of more than 100 years, through which has carried the spirit of a continuing quest for knowledge, pragmatism and modernity. With their students best interests in mind, NYFXJ also offers various extra-curricular activities to support overall student character development.
