Nanjing Qixia District Experimental Primary School
First established in 1919, the Nanjing Qixia District Experimental Primary School became a rural experimental school in 1927 led by Mr. Tao Xingzhi, one of China's great educators. The school now has four campuses, of which the new Yaochen Road campus was completed and put into use in August, 2013. This new campus covers an area of 26,610 square meters and has a construction space of 18,766 square meters. Featuring the architectural style of the Republic of China (1912-1949), the school buildings remain a perfect combination of tradition and modernity. There are 35 teaching classes and 93 teachers, each with a bachelor degree or above. Many younger teachers, those under 35 account for 80% of the total, with high quality, strong capability and high energy, they are the leading advantage of the school. Based on strict implementation of the national curriculum plan, the school has provided over 50 elective courses suiting different students' interests, aiming to meet the students' needs.
