i) Why did you choose JESIE?
My encounters with the admin team whilst looking for a position earlier this year encouraged me to choose JESIE. I found them knowledgeable, efficient and friendly; this is reassuring when looking for a job especially in a foreign country. The team in the office were and still are a pleasure to deal with.

ii) What do you think about JESIE?
I have confidence in the academic standards within the team from the academic director down to the new teachers and this encourages me to perform well in my role.
I trust the administrative function within the company to support my life and work in China.

iii) Do you enjoy your life as an employee of JESIE in China?
Being an employee of JESIE has given me opportunities which I enjoy and working in China is exciting and fulfilling; I would recommend anyone who can to work in China even if for just one year because I genuinely feel it has changed my life.
I really enjoy working at my school, it is a great community and I am honoured to be their first foreign teacher. They have made me welcome and I hope to work for them again next academic year and perhaps even the years after.

iv) How is JESIE different from your previous employers?
JESIE is based in a different province to my previous employer in China and I think this has big impact on lifestyle so anyone looking for a position here needs to be aware of the vast differences you can find in this huge country.
Outside of China I had the opportunity to work for large corporations in management and L&D, whilst I enjoyed this I feel that JESIE is a company where I can have a bigger influence as part of a team and in my own working life.
