December 6^th 2016 saw JESIE and Wuxi Xinwu District Education Bureaus first JESIEForeign Language Festival Talent Show. Students and teachers from all the areas primary and middle schools, altogether 14, got together for a colourful festival of songs, plays and dances at Wangzhuang Experimental Primary School. Foreign teachers from JESIE Wuxi have been helping their teams prepare and there was a keen sense of anticipation.

Wuxi Teachers Tom, Julie and Director Val were on the judging panel while the event was ably hosted by Thomas Crook. Spectators were treated to several hours of performances, including beautiful choirs, creative original plays and lovely songs and even energetic cheerleaders.  

The variety of the acts surprised and pleased the judges, who could clearly see the amount of preparation that had gone into each performance. Special credit goes to the performers whose eagerness and enthusiasm shone forth for all to see.  

After all the acts were over it was the turn of JESIE Wuxi foreign teachers to take the stage. A strong team performance of the classic song Lean On Me brought rapturous applause from the hundreds of spectators present. JESIE Wuxi team won the Teamwork Award for their impressive performance.  

Guests expressed their thanks to JESIE Wuxi team afterwards, and spectators, performers, judges and guests departed with happy smiles.
