JESIE WUXI OCTOBER STAFF MEETING
JESIE’s Wuxi teaching team got together at Wangzhuang Primary School to discuss progress and set new targets. Academic Director Val made the journey from Nanjing to attend and provide input from head office, with Wuxi Head Teacher Tom chairing the meeting.
Teachers discussed a variety of issues. First on the Agenda was work ethics. The team talked about how to be effective team members and how best to represent JESIE when dealing with colleagues, clients and students. Next, teachers shared the results of their peer to peer observations, discussing what they learned from watching other teachers’ classes and being observed themselves. All teachers had gained valuable insights from the observation process and got new ideas about how to improve their performance.
Other business included submitting topics on life in China for articles on the JESIE website, a few words on Open Day procedure, and updates to Tom regarding any issues with living conditions that needed solving.
All in all, it was a beneficial experience for those involved.
