NANJING OPEN DAY FRIDAY 21 OCTOBER, 2016
Friday the 21st was a busy day for Nanjing teachers. With the advent of Halloween upon us, teachers visited Nanjing Private Experimental School and Nanjing No. 5 Senior High School to introduce the middle school and high school students to the thrill of the spooky season.
The first stop for the Halloween Express was James’s program school, Nanjing Experimental Private School, where Kathleen and Cheryl had a cauldron full of fun with the Junior One students. Students played Halloween games such as Halloween Jeopardy and Wrap the Mummy; Cheryl probably became the number one foreign teacher in the hearts of the students when she brought out Halloween candy to reward her class! Everyone had a ghoulishly good time before whisking James and company off by broomstick to the afternoon show.
At Nanjing No. 5 High School, Marcus’s pumpkin patch, the Halloween Express spent a class with the Senior One students in the International Program. Because the students were a bit older than the middle school students in the morning, Tony and James were able to add a bit more of challenge to their witches’ brew of spooky activities! Students made scary stories, did word scrambles, and played Halloween quiz games. All in all, it was a fang-tastic Friday Open Day!
