I joined JESIE a year ago on the recommendation of a friend who worked here. Overall I've been happy with the way things have turned out. The management have been helpful both on a professional and personal level. The academic direction is accomplished and dedicated. I've been teaching in China for ten years, and in that time I haven't worked in an atmosphere as serious and committed to teaching excellence as JESIE. They have a dedication to standards of teaching and learning that one simply doesn't see if working for an agency or language centre.  Every term there are workshops and observations to help with teacher development and share ideas and academic director Val is always available to help with any queries and give support to deal with any problems.

The administration department are helpful in resolving issues relating to accommodation, visas and so on. I can personally attest to the fact that the health insurance is comprehensive. Aftera recent illness, JESIE admin staff were helpful in arranging reimbursement for an operation I needed. Again, this was a huge improvement on the token coverage offered by previous employers.

In summary, JESIE offer a professional and supportive working and living environment and I am glad I joined.
