It was yet another energy filled, educational and fun day for the Shuofang Experimental Primary school and Xin'an Experimental Primary School in Wuxi as teachers arrived prepared for a day of activities. Our teachers did their best to demonstrate a fun and dynamic way to teach a lesson that was aimed to raise students' interest and attention. Students were exposed to a variety of learning modes and resources and were provided with many opportunities to participate. 

This month is Halloween, so teachers had the privilege of preparing lessons with a splash of the creepy, crawly, yet fun and amusing holiday we know as Halloween. Four teachers named Val, Will, Graham and Abe taught four different classes each with their own style of teaching that had involved different activities for each class. Students were introduced to the creatures of Halloween, made cards, masks, and even carved their own Halloween pumpkin lanterns! 

One teacher had a very dramatic warm-up activity that had caught everyone's attention. While walking around the amused children, he started applying Halloween makeup. The makeup was completed with blood-red lipstick applied to his lips along with dripping blood from the corners of his mouth. Very impressive!

The energy and compassion the teachers had was clearly noticed as they covered focus on all students in the class. The children were nothing less than excited and entertained while being educated on this fun JESIE Open Day.
